Norfolk Museum Service  |  Teaching Museum Traineeship

The Teaching Museum: Trainee Programme is a scheme developed by Norfolk Museums Service to address challenges around opening up entry routes into working in the museum sector. The scheme keeps an open mind to the trainees admitted onto the programme, choosing to value personal skills and character, without dictating the need for a certain level of Museum-related education or previous experience.

The traineeships are 12-month, paid, real jobs offering an exciting range of roles while being supported by a development programme delivered by Norfolk Museum Service staff. The result of the traineeship is to allow the trainees to gain vital experience and help them begin their career in museums.
